This Sunday, instead of a "sermon", I'm going to tell some stories of how the songs came to be written.
Jerry Rushford of Pepperdine University is really good at telling these kinds of stories.
The songs mean more when you know the story behind them.
Amazing Grace, Jesus Loves Me, Just As I Am - have very interesting stories. Many times, the story is even better than the hymn!
